Fall at Stoney Creek

Hello! It's been almost an entire month since I blogged last! Previously we canned tomatoes and the hubby guest blogged on his rustic tomato sauce recipe! We only have a couple of jars left now, I was hoping to make them last into the winter but I have to say that sauce is tasty!

Pictured above is a recent custom order from the Mercantile. The offerings at the Merc have been picked up in treasuries A LOT here lately. The change in season has been perfect for pine cone goodies!

Even though I have greatly neglected my blog, I have been keeping busy with crafty-ness and decor around the house! I love the changing seasons and the inspiration that brings to change things up a bit! The office/sunroom isn't used as an office nearly as much, now that I'm not at home all day. So the desk was moved aside and we moved our breakfast table back in! All of the windows in this room are great eye candy while enjoying your cup of coffee in the morning. If only we had enough time to enjoy it before we all head out for the day.

I'm very pleased with our "new" white dining room table! Our seasonal decorative items stand out nicely :)  The centerpiece here are three berry basket wrapped in jute, super easy focal point. The pumpkins all came from our garden, most of them are actually gourds. We threw out our old ones last year in one of our raised bed and wa-lah, next year we have pumpkin-goards :)

One of my listings at the Merc is pine cone garland, here is an extra long pine cone garland that hangs across our picture window. It's tough to take a picture of these guys with such a bright background.

This is the latest state of our fireplace mantel. This summer it looked like this...

We took the mirror down, to find this...

So we painted it, I'm not sure if we will do anything else to it or not but I think it looks WAY better!

I painted this little lady a week or two ago. Some friends of ours gave it to us before they moved so it's no surprise that I painted it white! and covered the lamp shade. I used the same material that I made the curtains out of for the door on the landing, which is where this lamp is at. I didn't do a super good job on the shade so this is as much of a close up as you're gonna get. Lets just say that all that was involved was fabric, scissors & a hot glue gun :)

We have had to do a lot of re-arranging in the house, due to our toddler and her miscevousness. She thinks she is a monkey and she is very stubborn! :)

So the antique spinning wheel given to us by my grandparents, now lives in mommy & daddy's room where toddler never goes by herself.

We're already planning for the holidsays, so SORRY to anyone who went to the Anderson Library looking for Christmas books! :)

Maybe I'll get around to posting our chrstimas-ey crafts & tasty things before another month goes by!

Happy Fall Ya'll!
